5th Annual Wine & Wishes Event that Benefits Akron Children's Hospital

The 5th Annual Evening of Wine & Wishes was the place to be to forget about life's hectic routine. And it all happened at Akron's Tangiers, the place where countless stars have entertained audiences throughout the years. At Wine and Wishes, you'll feel like the star, too!

Founded by Greg and Tiffany Michalec in appreciation for the care their twins, Katie and Cory, received at Akron Children's Hospital after their premature birth, Wine and Wishes has turned into one of Northeast Ohio's premier events, with proceeds benefiting Akron Children's Hospital.

Imagine heading out on a Friday evening with a group of friends and entering a world of endlessly flowing gourmet foods and premier wines from around the world. There's even assorted craft beers for those who love to relax with a nice cold one.

And, for those who like to head out and shop on a Friday evening, you can do that too. Featuring a silent auction that's just as impressive as the food and wine list, shoppers will not be disappointed. This year's silent auction once again featured something for everyone. From relaxing getaways, to sports memorabilia, to hand crafted furniture and a jukebox - those looking to snag a great item were not disappointed. The live auction even added more to the shopping list!

And of course what event of this caliber would be complete without the sweet sounds of easy listening jazz music? Wine & Wishes had it all.
